Copper Clad Aluminum is an electrical conductor which has an outer sleeve of copper metallurgically
bonded to a solid aluminum core. CommScope’s improved method of cladding yields
superior drawability to extra fine wire sizes approaching 44 awg (0.00198”)
. Typical wire sizes range from 1/0 to 14 awg (0.3249” to 0.0508”) and metric
(8.25mm to 1.29mm). CCA meets or exceeds the requirements for ASTM B-566.
Bimetal products are produced at the CommScope facility in Statesville, North
Carolina. This facility is ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 registered.
